Makale en eski çağlardan beri insanlığın çözmek zorunda kaldığı önemli sorunlardan biri olan ve 19.y.y.’ın sonlarına doğru kaldırılan kölelik statüsüyle ilgilidir. İnsan Hakları açısından devrim niteliğinde görülen bu değişimle artık hiç kimse doğumundan itibaren köle olarak damgalanmıyor ise de asgari ücretle çalışmak zorunda olan kişilerin, “ücretli köle” olarak adlandırılması kimseyi şaşırtmamalıdır.Antik Yunan, Babil ve Mısırda köle-işçi ücretlerinin asgari ücretle karşılaştırılması böyle bir sonucu ulaşmayı olanaklı kılar. Çalışma köle/ işçi ayrımının bir yanılsamadan ibaret olduğu, günümüz hukukun da asgari ücret gibi düzenlemelerle karın tokluğuna çalıştırmayı meşrulaştırarak alt sınıfların ücretlendirilmesinde insanlık tarihi kadar eski bir mantığı koruyup devam ettirdiği sonucuna ulaşmıştır.
This article is about the slavery statues, abolished around the last period of 19th century, which also stands as one of the most crucial problems that had been trying to be solved since the very ancient times of mankind. With the effect of this revolutionary transformation, as seen from the human rights point of view, now no one may be condemned as a slave since birth. However it shall also not surprise anyone that the ones, who must work with subsistence wage, are called "paid slaves". It makes it possible to reach to a conclusion as such to compare the fees of slave-workers in Ancient Greece, Babel or Egypt with today's subsistence wage. This article tries to put forth the fact that the differentiation of "slave"and "worker"is an actual illusion and it reaches to the conclusion that the current law systems are continuing to preserve this ancient as mankind belief of the pricing of the low class with the regulations as subsistence wage, which by this means also allows the system to legalize working for peanuts.
