Modern Konutun Temsilini Arkitekt Dergisi’nde Yayınlanan Projeler Üzerinden Okumak
Mimarlık üretimi, düşünsel bir edim olarak başlayıp inşa eylemine kadar uzanan çok
aşamalı bir süreçtir. Bu sürecin en önemli adımlarından biri tasarımın kağıda aktarılarak
somut bir temsile dönüşmesidir. Temsil, mimari tasarımın ardındaki zihinsel süreci
somutlaştıran bir adım olarak karşımıza çıkar. Temsil yöntemleri, tıpkı mimarlık pratiği gibi,
tarihsel süreçte yaşanan gelişmelerden ve akımlardan etkilenmiştir. Günümüzde plan, kesit,
görünüş gibi geleneksel yöntemlerin yanı sıra; perspektif, üç boyutlu görseller, diyagram,
animasyon, fotoğraf, kolaj, montaj gibi çeşitli yöntemler mimari temsilin aracı haline
gelmiştir.
20. yüzyılda ortaya çıkan Modern Mimarlık akımının etkileri Türkiye’de 1930’lardan
sonra görülmüştür. 1923 yılında Cumhuriyet’in ilanının ardından modern bir toplum inşa
etme amacıyla için birçok farklı alanda yenilikler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Halkın modern bir
yaşantıyı benimsemesi için modern konutun tasarımı önemsenmiştir. Modern konutun
yaygınlaşması için dönemin önemli haberleşme kaynakları olan dergilerde ve gazetelerde
konut projeleri paylaşılmıştır. Modern ev yaşantısına dair görüş yazıları, görseller ve konut
projeleri paylaşılarak halk özendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Dergiler içerisinde modern konutların
plan, görünüş, perspektif çizimleri yer almıştır. Dönemin mimari projelerin ve görüş
yazılarının paylaşıldığı önemli basılı kaynaklardan biri olan Arkitekt Dergisi’nde de çok
sayıda modern konut projesi yer almıştır. Bu yazıların bir kısmında konutların çizimlerinin
yanı sıra fotoğraflarına da yer verildiği görülmüştür.
Modernizm akımı ile birlikte imgenin hayatımızdaki önemi artmıştır. Bu sebeple temsil
yöntemleri o dönemden başlayarak zaman içerisinde gelişim göstererek önemli bir yere sahip
olmuştur. Çalışmada, modern konut projelerini paylaşmak için kullanılan temsil yöntemleri
araştırılmıştır. 1931-1980 yılları arasında yayınlanan Arkitekt Dergisi’nde yer alan konut
projeleri taranmıştır. Konut projelerinde kullanılan teknik çizimler ve basılan görseller
incelenmiştir. Modern konutun temsilinde kullanılan araçların değişimi, bu projelerin görsel
materyalleri üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir.

Reading the Representation of Modern Housing Through Projects Published in Arkitekt Magazine
Architectural production is a multi-stage process that starts as an intellectual act and
extends to the construction process. One of the most important steps in this process is to
transfer the design to paper and turn it into a concrete representation. Representation is a step
that embodies the mental process behind architectural design. Representation methods, just
like the practice of architecture, have been influenced by developments and movements in the
historical process. Today, in addition to traditional methods such as plan, section, and
elevation, various techniques such as perspective, three-dimensional visuals, diagrams,
animation, photography, collage, and montage have become tools of architectural
representation.
Emerging in the 20th century, the effects of the Modern Architecture movement were
seen in Turkey after the 1930s. In 1923, after the proclamation of the Republic, innovations
were realized in many different fields to build a modern society. For the public to adopt a
modern life, the design of modern housing was emphasized. To spread modern housing,
housing projects were shared in magazines and newspapers, which were important sources of
communication. Articles, images, and projects on modern life were shared to encourage
humans. Plans, views, and perspective drawings of modern houses were included in the
magazines. Arkitekt Magazine, one of the most important sources of architectural projects and
articles of the period, also featured many modern housing projects. It was observed that some
of these articles included photographs as well as drawings of the houses.
With the modernism movement, the importance of the image in our lives has increased.
For this reason, representation methods have had an important place by developing over time
starting from that period. In this study, the representation methods used to share modern
housing projects were investigated. The housing projects in Arkitekt Magazine published
between 1931 and 1980 were scanned. Technical drawings and printed images used in
housing projects were analyzed. The change in the tools used in the representation of modern
housing is evaluated through the visual materials of these projects.
