Özet

Aim: In the present study, we aimed to investigate the methods used the estimation of non-invasive anaerobic threshold (AT) on male and female subjects. Methods: Seventeen male (mean age 21.4±1.4) and 19 female (mean age 21.2±1.9) subjects joined this study. All subjects performed maximal graded exercise test on the treadmill for determining VO2max. Gas exchange data was analyzed continually during the test. The software was displayed all of the data with fifteen seconds interval, included oxygen uptake. Results: Male and female subjects obtained VO2max values, 48.1±9 mL-1.kg-1.min-1 and 40.5 ±4.3 mL-1.kg-1.min-1 respectively, on treadmill test. AT occurred in male and female subjects at RER=1.17 and RER=1.15, respectively. Conclusion: AT results obtained in this study for each of the two sexes corresponded to the higher level of VO2max, similar to the previous studies. In conclusion, the findings of this study support the views that suggest considering RER=1 level when estimating AT.
